How an article gets written here

This page states the rules this site follows for every article published under this domain.

1. Who writes and who approves

Articles are published under the Exciting Press Review Editorial Team. They are drafted with generative AI. Before an article is scheduled, the site owner reads it and approves its scope and the sources it lists. Articles have not been edited line by line by a human editor, and no individual is named as an author.

2. What "draft" means here

Drafts carry no publication date. They are not submitted for indexing and they carry a noindex directive when a build shows them. A number such as 03 in the archive is the position of a draft in the reading list, not a date, a score or a ranking.

3. How facts are checked

Rules, formats, dates and any quoted figure must be traceable to a primary source: the publisher's own documentation, the authoring tool's manual, an archive record, or a public catalogue. Every article ends with a Sources section listing what was used.

The owner's review checks that the sources are relevant to the topic; it does not re-verify every figure. Articles are also compared with their sources in a separate review, and an article in which that review finds a wrong figure, date or source is taken off the site until it is corrected.

4. How generative AI is used

Generative AI writes the first draft of each article. It is instructed not to invent numbers, dates, quotations or first-hand experience, but a draft can still contain mistakes. Each article shows the label “AI draft, not edited” at its foot, so readers can see how it was produced.

5. Original contribution

An article aims to give the reader something a summary elsewhere would not: a worked example computed here, a comparison table built here from cited material, a diagram of a story structure we drew, or a plain-language explanation of a rule quoted from the primary source. We do not copy text from other sites and we do not restore text from the previous owner of this domain.

6. No play experiences

Articles describe games from their documentation, manuals and archive records. They are not based on our own play sessions, and they do not claim to be.

7. Corrections

If you find an error, use the contact page with the page address and your source. We correct the article, or take it off the site while it is being fixed.

8. What will not be published

  • Medical, legal or financial advice.
  • Reviews of games or products.
  • Paid placement, sponsored posts, affiliate links or link exchanges.
  • Content that reproduces another site's article, in whole or by close paraphrase.
